an investigation of the genetic diversity of pomegranate genotypes prevailent in tarume - zanjan using rapd markers

چکیده
pomegranate is an importantly popular fruit crop with iran the main center of its diversity throghout the world. the richest pomegranate genetic resources believed to exist in iran. the present investigation was carried out to study the genetic diversity of 15 genotypes of pomegranate in tarume zanjan making use of rapd markers. genomic dna was extracted from the plant,s leaf, and tested for the perspective quality and quantity features in pcr reaction. a set of 39 arbitrary primers was used that produced 273 reliable bands among which 201 bands were polymorphic and 72 monomorphic. rapd data was used to compute genetic similarities as based on simple matching (sm) index. data analysis was carried out through ntsys-2.2 software. finally a dendrogram was constructed using smc similarity coefficient and upgma method. the highest and lowest similarity coefficients were found aqual to 83% and 59%, respectively. in cluster analysis, the genotypes were divided into two clusters, 'post-nazok' being placed in one cluster, and the remaining 14 genotypes grouped together. co-phentic correlation coefficient between similarity matrix and the coph matrix amounted to 76%. results of principal coordinate analysis supported the cluster analysis results. rapd profiling was found effictive in revealing the dna polymorphism among the genotypes. rapd data indicated a relatively low level of genetic diversity among the studied genotypes. 'poost-nazok' genotype, individually separated from the others, can be a promising candidate in breeding genotypes, grouping as based on pca, confirming the results of the cluster analysis.

Genetic Diversity Analysis among Greengram genotypes using RAPD Markers
Green gram is also one of the important pulse crops. Conventional breeding methods are very much difficult to utilize in the development of new genotypes. Hence incorporation of the molecular approaches along with the conventional techniques is most powerful method. Evaluation of the available wild accessions are more useful for selecting desirable gene sources. Genetic diversity analysis place...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes Using RAPD and ISSR Molecular Markers
The importance of grain cultivation especially wheat is obvious in terms of providing human and animal food and its impact on the economy of human societies. The reduction of genetic diversity in cultivars prevents increasing yields in line with rising demand and consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the compatibility of them and increase their genetic extent. In the current, the g...

phylogeography and genetic diversity of the lesser mouse- eared bat (myotis blythii) in iran
in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Assessment of genetic diversity among sunflower genotypes using microsatellite markers
Genetic diversity estimation of plant materials is one of the important pre-breeding activities in breeding field crops. Twenty-one microsatellite markers used to assess genetic diversity and relationship of 68 sunflower genotypes (Helianthus annuus L.). All of 21 pairs of SSR (Simple Sequence Repeats) markers produced a total number of 49 polymorphic bands. DNA fragments ranged from 9...
متن کاملInvestigation of Genetic Diversity and Structure Analysis of Different Citrus Genotypes Using ISSR Markers
In breeding programs, it is necessary having knowledge of the relatedness and genetic diversity in germplasm pools. The spread of cultivated regions and the high levels of production indicates citrus importance in the global economy. Therefore, 110 citrus genotypes were evaluated using 12 ISSR markers. Overall, 154 polymorphic bands were scored with an average of 12.8 alleles per primer. The po...
